The Cambourne to Cambridge (C2C) busway is a £160 million development to connect Cambourne to the city, whilst reducing congestion.
But the plans have been met with intense opposition, with residents claiming it is a waste of taxpayers’ money. Congestion levels have fallen since the Covid-19 pandemic, with more people hybrid working.
Cllr Heather Williams, Leader of the Conservative group, declared her opposition to the busway, siding with residents.
Cllr Williams stated that the proposed route for the busway ran far too close to Coton, and was likely to cause significant disruption for villagers.
