Councillor for Longstanton
Tom Bygott has lived in Oakington since October 2000. He was the District Councillor for Girton for 16 years until May, and was a key member of the successful Conservative administration that ran South Cambridgeshire from 2007 to 2018.
He is a professional statistician and mathematician in the field of computational biology, and currently works at a biotech company developing a series of blood tests for cancer. He is also a member of the Cambridge and District Blue Plaques Committee and a former Governor of Addenbrooke's Hospital.
He continues to be a strong voice for local residents.
